Juana Spears Gissendanner launches her global movement entitled “Inspiring the Masses”. She inspires learners by helping them prepare to SOAR towards achieving all of their educational goals and prepare them to SOAR into their destiny successfully. SOAR Consulting and Educational Development was launched in March 2008 as a division of Giss Enterprises. Through SOAR, Juana has spread her message of encouragement to inspire learners to follow their dreams and obtain their educational aspirations by helping them to prepare for the competitive college application process by developing a resume which will help them to succeed. Now, she is focused on meeting her goal of developing her foundation to help relieve the financial stresses of learners, helping them to graduate with reduced or no debt.

During her 18+ year career as a college recruiter, Juana has worked with hundreds of students mentoring, encouraging and inspiring them to reach their educational goals and dreams. Now it is her mission to create and give over $5 Billion in grants and scholarships to help learners reach their goals with less debt. 

As a result of her passion to help others and her drive to make this world a better place for students and professionals to achieve, Juana has been recognized with numerous awards including:


  • 2009-2011 National Dental Hygienists’ Association – In Appreciation for Outstanding and Dedicated Leadership
  • 2011 Dimensions of Dental Hygiene – Guest editorial on Cultivating Excellence
  • 2011 University of Michigan School of Dentistry’s UMSNDA - In Recognition of Her Achievement
  • 2013 University of Michigan School of Dentistry’s Ida Gray Award - In Recognition of Her Outstanding Efforts in Promoting Multicultural Ideals
  • 2017 - present Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated - Southfield Alumnae Chapter Co-Chair of Delta GEMS, (Developing Effective Leadership through Achieving, Growing, Empowering Myself Successfully), a national high school girls mentoring program.

When asked what the benefit SOARer’s receive by going through the process, Juana explains that these students are guided through the development of competitive resume building through development of:

  •  Leadership skills
  • Community service
  • Study skills
  • Test preparation, and
  • Life skills

These students learn how to effectively evaluate and select the trade school, college or university which would be their ‘best fit for success”; and, effectively search and apply for scholarships, grants and seek out financial aid resources to help fund their educational and career dreams so they can SOAR into their destiny.
